From Janet Hardy - Evelyn’s niece You know you asked about memories we have of Aunty Betty, well i always felt comforted by receiving letters from youre mum. She was the only person i wrote a letter to and she always replied and it was lovely to hear from her. Her writing was beautiful and even though i didnt get to visit often, it was always lovely to hear from her and to receive a letter or card. Its lovely that she kept her mind and her memory 💕. I always wished we lived nearer and i could have visited her regularly. When mum was alive she spoke to Aunty Betty on the phone every weekend, i remember that, she looked forward to soeaking to her. I remember youre mum always being kind, and having a lovely smile and i remember visiting when we were young children and meeting up with you jackie and Martin. My memories of her are happy ones and she was and is very special to mexxxxxx

I was so lucky to have you as my Nan! You really were the queen of my heart there through all the good and the bad times. So many memories of all the times we had together, the card nights and your 5ps would appear. The times I got the bus early and you brought a cuppa to the bus stop for me. Miss you so much and your Elsie misses you so much she looks for the brightest star each night and cuddles the little pillow you made for her. Sleep tight beautiful, I hope you’ve found grandad up there. Love and miss you always.

Mum your always be in my heart miss you every day.Do you member when we went to see Daniel o Donnell you was in your Eliment. The Friday nights we had a good old sing song together then you would say we better go to bed now and it was very nice sing song.i hope you go and have a party with Dad now as dad lived a sing song,bless your heart all my love hugs n kisses Jackie xx

Nan I remember as a child coming round to see you and have egg on toast . Weekend would be a bacon and egg sandwich. With a cup of tea not forgetting the biscuit tin. I remember helping you peel the veg on a Sunday morning for your lunch . I also looked forward to my birthday cake you made and to see waht it was like although I new it would be chocolate lol. You have always been there for me through the good times and the bad. I'm proud to call you my nan love and miss you more than words could say sleep tight nan .
